I am 14, ‘loving’ a 41-year-old man

Dear Pastor,

I am a 14-year-old girl who lives in uptown Kingston. I am of brown complexion, and my skin is hairy. There is a man in my area who gave me a lift to school one day when I was 13, and ever since. Since then we have become friends, and he tells me that he admires the way I look and move. My friend also wants to get a ride, but now he wants to have sex. He does not look like 41 and he gives me anything I ask for. Should I do it?

You are playing with fire, the kind that burns for life. It is not a good idea to go further. You are writing in because you have doubts, and I want to tell you to follow those instincts. This man can be charged for rape and go to jail. You are underaged and your parents also can get into lots of trouble. Please avoid going around this man, except in the presence of an adult. Try other activities. Try getting your monies from other avenues. I suggest that you find an adult who will not suggest anything to do with sex and spill your guts, and get some advise on how you can get financial help otherwise. Thank you for having the courage to write in.
